I am having problem with my sunroof . It open's but when it closes it open's back up it does not stay closed. And when I push the up button it does not go up it opens up and when I push the down it closes and opens back up.
what could be the problem ?
my car is a gs300 2006 and it does not have a auto button.

 

Your tracks are dirty and need to be oiled. Open the sunroof all the way and grab a can of wd40 and spray all the tracks and joints. With a rag wipe out all the dirt and wd40. Then spray the tracks again with white lithium spray.

 

Try rapidly pressing the button to nudge it closed little by little, then just leave it closed until you figure out the fix.

 

I don't know if you already knew it before it had the problem, but you just have to press a button for 1/3s and it opens or closes automatically.

Any of the 4 controlling the sunroof. For example, if you briefly maintain Open pressed, it will do so until it's fully open. The other commands work the same way.

I meant about a third of a second, no need to press it for 3 seconds fortunately

When I hold the closed button instead of just stopping it opens back up .
