Default Any recommendations for rear camera install?

I'm about to pull the trigger on a new stereo and I'm also going to add a license plate mounted rear view camera. I've never installed a rear view camera and not finding much DIY specific info for the GS300. Anyone have any tips or suggestions on things like where to run the wire from the rear to the stereo head unit? What about where you might have tapped into power when the car is in reverse? Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.

1. You can tap the power from the old backup camera wiring harness.
I just replaced to the same (used) OEM camera, so you can see how to get at the wiring harness from this video.

2. My 2013 Camry didn't come with backup camera, although the headunit had the wiring harness ready to be hooked up
under the middle console area. Running the wires from the trunk to the front is little bit tedious but not difficult.
I didn't record the video at the time, but I think I used this video.

3. You just want the wires tucked under the side and bottom plastic trims.
If you watch these videos, it'll show you how to remove the trims.

4. Not sure which headunit you are getting, but several people have installed Tesla like gigantic display headunit.
Here is one example.

Just thought of additional options...

1. You can trace the current backup camera wire and use that route for your new camera.
2. Splice both ends of the current backup camera wiring and attach your camera connection wires.
3. Use wifi style camera, then you can skip the whole wiring mess.
