Weird the fusible link would go bad and the gauges and alarm still worked. Glad you got it sorted out, you only need to replace just the fusible link, and they can be found cheaper used on ebay instead of new.

But what set off the fuse? You must have had a short somewhere to pop it, try to back track and see if maybe you cross a positive wire with negative. Wouldnt want to install a new link and have that pop aswell.

went to install fuseable link the bolt on the fuseable link wire was a bit loose... i turned on car and it started ... lmao

 

LOL hell yeah! nice that you figured it out! Sometimes its just the simplest things. I remember some Toyota shop manual in the past listing 'jiggle your wire connectors' as a possible troubleshooting test.

 

Ok that would explain some stuff remained on, because a fusible link is the main power fuse to the whole car. You pop that and it kills power to everything. Hopefully this solves your transmission issues aswell, if the link was loose the whole time.

no tranny issue still there... little oil in the coolant as well but no coolant in oil ... hopefully all is well there doing a compression test tomorrow
