Looking to purchase my first GS
Looking to join the GS club and found a great looking 2008 GS350. Was wondering what a fair asking price for the AWD model with 130k miles on it. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Clean looking car but I wonder why the steering wheel doesnt have wood on it. It says no accidents, but I would get that car inspected if your willing to pay that premium. I would say its worth about 8500-9500
Car has lots of ware on it from looks I see. I wouldn't pay more than 7000 to 7500 miles are High. Get ready to spend some Money. Was timing belt changed alomg with water pump Etc. I got mine for 8000 with 83000 miles absolutely perfect 3 owners with all the books and records.

Good luck getting that car from a dealer for $7500. Between the price of all used cars these days, and the fact that used Toyota/Lexus fetching huge premiums, you’ll likely be closer to 9500, which depending on where you are is probably fair to high.
If anything buy mine, serviced only at the dealer and is a 2009 with 92k miles.

First of all Let me tell you I overlooked that it was not a GS 430 2006 .
2) Don't be so rude if someone makes a mistake. Instead of being critical correct them, Looser, Who are you to Judge Mr Know it all. Who gave you the authority to write people off and know so much about everything about Lexus. That's why you have a worthless high mile 2009 your trying to pawn off for too much money. Why don't you keep it for a Spare.
3) Your just trying to sell your car, I don't care who you are Jerk your a piece of work. The car is not worth 9500 like you think. Go look at values of what they are worth you have no clue. I guarantee I find one with less miles and better condition. I got my GS 430 for $8000 with 80k on it Snot perfect, hows is that one worth 10k you know nothing about what a car is worth . Your what they call in the car Business a Lay down or Grape.

MMR pricing is a tool many car dealers use to price vehicles, most normal cars fall into middle pricing or clean. 2008 gs350 awd rough: $4425 Clean: $7225 Pristine: $8,800 add auctions fees and thats what dealers will go buy to purchase cars.

Prices contently change, but this is the best time to buy a car, from the auction or private sellers. As the end of december dealers will stock up on inventory for tax season (feb, march, april) and drive up the prices 10-20%

Between him being a little.....impulsive, and the fact he “overlooked” the specifics of the very car you are/were considering (despite being attached in a link that all he had to do was click on), there was no possible way he could have come to a realistic number. It’s not his fault, I blame the school system.
The GS is my spare car, which is a shame. All it does is sit in the garage under a cover. Covid shutting everything down in NY doesn’t help with getting it out, but you probably don’t believe in that either.
Also glad that the MMR values support that 9500 would be the realistic fair-high price of what the car would go for. This part is me correcting Idorablo.
Did learn about the grape thing though, didn’t know that. The car business is far too elite and highbrow for me to ever work in anyways.
Not sure if the 350 had oil burning issues but if they did, I would not buy one unless the dealer can tell me that the service to replace the piston rings was completed. Don't take the seller's word.
Also, the rear seats don't fold in case that matters to you in the long run. I didn't even think of it as an issue when I bought mine until I wanted to put my 4 winter tires and 4 winter rims with tires in, or when I wanted to put my mountain bike in there.

I think the wood steering wheel comes in a certain package. At least that is what the sales rep is saying. Also, since this is a 350 and not the 430, the timing chain does not need to be replaced unless there is a lot of slack. I believe earlier 350s may have oil consumption issues but you don't hear about those too often.
