Hid auto on question!! Need input plz..!
I was wondering if I leave my auto light on at night is it good for the ballast and bulbs ??
I drive a lot at night and I use my car for delivery’s so I’m constantly going in and out of my car ?
I have brand new morimoto d4s bulbs
oem ballast
and morimoto 9006 full kit with dual relay harness kit for the Foglights.!!
i know it’s normal for the lights to flicker when my engine is starting up but how would this be for the long run.??
would appreciate any information!!
many thanks..!!!

You need headlights at night so whether you or the car switches the headlights on makes no difference as far as wear, you can leave them on auto. Same thing for turning them off when the car is off at night. What is flickering? The low beams? They shouldn't. If you told me LEDs in the high beams, I would have understood, but with the 3GS, no bulb should flicker other than high-beam LED replacements.
Actually, for any car equipped with auto headlights, there is no logical reason not to let them in auto mode most of the time. Some people say they save their bulbs by turning them on and off manually to save them. That's completely silly too. The car would do exactly the same.
I'm confident your bulbs will last you 3 years at least even with very a frequent usage. Xenon bulbs last. However, a Philips or Osram bulb would last you near double that in the same conditions. Their quality controls are second to none compared to every other manufacturer.

I guess your right and after A few days I got used to them being on auto. I don’t know what flicking since I have the headlight and Foglights on all at once, but I do see the projectors move to level or adjust to the streets.those companies are great bulbs any suggestions on the temp color for pure white no hint of blue or yellow would you suggest? The bulb I got is 5500k - 6000k and top and bottom matches perfectly pure white and the drl/parking lights are 5000k v-led 194 led bulbs and they matches up perfectly with the hids top and bottom which I was very surprised!! Thanks again!!
