Every time I turn off the car, I hear this buzzing coming from under the hood. I’ve had the car for over eight years and it has made this sound since day one. I’ve read that this is the ABS modulator and buzzing is a sign that it’s on its way out. Is it not supposed to buzz whatsoever? Is a properly functioning ABS modulator supposed to be completely silent?

 

Start the car and pop open the hood and see if its buzzing from the abs. If it is, then maybe its on its way out

 

Where is the ABS modulator located generally? And like I said, it’s been doing it since the day I got the car over eight years ago.

 

yeah its just the ABS bleeding off the pressure.
