Couple weeks ago my audio kept cutting off, & recently the whole audio system shut down. FYI, I'm no mechanic.. Now 2 days ago my battery light lit up, so I visually checked it out & the date on the battery is 5/18. So yesterday I took a risk & drove to work & on my way all my lights on the dashboard lit up, & the power steering locked up, so I made my way out the freeway & as I'm coming out the exit, my lights start to dim up & next my car shuts off.. I called in roadside assistance to give me a jump & when they came they tested the battery & told me it was in good condition. So we checked the serpentine belt, which was good to. So now I believe it's my alternator. So my question is what would yall reccomend? I'm lookin for some with 140-150amp & is a new one better or remanufactured? Ive heard about Mechman, Bosch, & mike singer alternators, & was looking at
Duralast Gold New Alternator DLG15650 150amp $260 from Autozone
Ultima 150amp alternator remanufactured $200 from O'Reilly Part #: DEN 2100657 Line: DENSO alternator remanufactured $280 from Napa
& as this is my only car, I'm looking to quickly fix it, I cant wait more than a week. Thank y'all for the advice in advance!

I can only vouch for the Gold Duralast (DLG series). Lifetime Warantee
Autozone has been replacing/waranteeing my Duralast reman alt 2x in the last 3 years. Both had failed voltage regulators.
I opted for the Gold this time and its working really well. (Just had to pay a difference)
Gold series Duralast have all NEW parts in it as oppose to remans that certain parts only gets replaced/refurbish.

Have you tried OEM reman?
No I haven't, this will be my first time replacing the alternator. As I purchased the vehicle only 6-7 months ago
Denso is pretty much oem, thats what I would use. Rockauto.com has the 0657 alternator for $135.79 after you return the $79 core.
But before you replace the alternator, grab a voltmeter and test the battery voltage with the car running. I think a good alternator puts out 13.5volts running. If yours is less then replace it, also I would check battery terminals you may have a poor connection.
