Default 2007 GS 350 AWD CV axle replacement

Hey, my drivers side cv boot is torn. I was wondering if anyone has replaced the axle themselves. I searched for a DIY write up, but could not find find one specific for my 07 GS 350. I'd really like to tackle it myself, and was hoping for some tips.
Thanks...

Driver side its ok to easily swap, but avoid the passenger side at all cost. I hear its a nightmare to remove! Lexus sells replacement boots if your mechanic skills are good, if not just buy a reman of rockauto or your local parts store. Cordone brand I hear is good for aftermarket, I would avoid the chinese cheapy axles.
