Default Sold my GS350, moving on.

Just wanted to say farewell to this great crowd. After enjoying my 2008 GS350 AWD for almost 11 years it was time to move on. I am not leaving completely, because my wife still drives a 2017 NX200t.

As for me, my new ride is a 2018 Porsche Macan S. Bought it CPO a week ago. It is a phenomenal car, but comparing it with my old GS would be so unfair.

Anyway, thank you all again for years of help and advice.

Very nice! As a Cayenne S owner, my best advice is this to any new Porsche SUV owner: BUY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY! Then extend it if possible later on. Tons of fun to drive, especially if you have the little sport exhaust button (we always get a Macan when we take the Cayenne in for service - extremely fun cars). Pretty sure the Macan is going to have less problems when compared to the Cayenne, but in the past year alone our extended warranty has covered almost $10,000 in repairs. That all aside, they're super fun cars and a joy to drive around.

Congrats on the Porsche.
So what was the fate of the GS 350? Did you see her privately or was it a trade?

Edit: just read the title. Looks like you sold the GS to a lucky new owner

Thanks for your advice. It's a CPO, the factory warranty is extended until October of 2023 w/unlimited mileage. I did a lot of research on Macans, sounds like they hold up pretty well. A few things here and there, with the most major being transfer case problems (usually replaced in 4 hrs), but most of the problems show up fairly early. Mine has 16K miles, so far no problems.

My wife's Cayenne is on its 3rd transfer case, and it's only a 2013. Good thing you got that warranty for so long, but let's hope you won't have to use it. Like you said, the Macans seem to be holding up better than the Cayennes. Love the fit and finish on the interiors.

Yep, getting old and not as flexible as before. It's actually not that much bigger inside than the GS.

Macans are great looking cars, they litter the streets here in Denver.

Awesome looking ride! I've always loved the way they looked. Just a little out of my price range! And if it needs any service repair, I'd have to sell it! haha

Hope you enjoy it! Plus the scenery there looks beautiful!

How is it out of price range when a base gs350 cost more than a base Macan. Macan S you would have to compare to gs450h (last year was 2018)
