Default purchased first lexus: 07 gs350

Hi i recently purchased my first lexus through a car dealer, its a 2007 Gs350. It has 116k miles on it. I was wondering what repairs i should be looking forward to doing to keep it running strong, tips or advice would be much appreciated.

I just did my waterpump. Read the water pump thread.

I took oil my car to the dealership for a recall and they gave it a through check over. It was 100% accurate and that gave me my to-do list.

A local mechanic is fine it only takes 2-3 hours. But for the transmission I would take it to a toyota/lexus dealer, if toyota shop rate is lower go there.

First post here (didn’t want to create another thread for the same topic) what brand thermostat and idler pulley should I get? Original Lexus? Should I also replace the upper and lower radiator hoses? Also, what brake pads do you guys recommend? Any specific website you guys use to buy parts?

Thermostats oem on ebay they are pretty cheap, idler pulley depending on the price oem or gates or dayco

You dont need to replace the upper and lower rad hoses, if you find a cheap set on ebay go for it. Pads I like oem, theres 2 versions one regular and one dust free I prefer the dust free.

Is it true Lexus/Toyota didn’t make low dust for the rear?

Im not sure, if the rear are or are not. But the front make a big difference, I mistakenly purchased the original pads and they were super dusty. Then swapped to dust free and it was a huge improvement.
