Door mirrors
I was surprised to find that the electric folding mirrors on my recently acquired GS do not fold automatically when the engine is turned off - but then found this was not an uncommon oversight until much more recently.Until a few years ago there were a number of hacks discussed on the web for making this work - but no new information has been discussed or posted for about 6 years.Has anyone here either -- done a hack to make their folding mirrors fold on ACC off and unfold on ACC on.- used any of the kits now available for doing this - such as this one - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Universal-Car-Side-Mirror-Folding-System-Auto-Side-Mirror-Folding-Kit-New/283166602315?hash=item41ee0b744b:g:3xAAAOSw2sNboKIj:rk:6

I once considered a hack but I decided against it because of the frequency the mirrors would be used over time. The mechanisms would surely wear out faster. I recently replaced the folding mirror actuator .
However as I fold my mirrors manually every time I leave the car (except when I occasionally forget ) the usage would be the same. I also believe you can get metal gears to replace the plastic one - or I could just have a new set made on my friends 3D scanner/printer

My ssue at present is that I do not have any wiring information for the Lexus to see if they would fit and how easy it may be.
Where we live in the UK the roads are quite narrow as are the parking spaces. So as I mentioned previously I try to remember to fold the mirrors every time I park - so the wear from auto folding should not be any more really.
So many cars loose their wing mirrors as a result of narrow roads/spaces and it would be cheaper to have the small gear that wears replaced than to have a new mirror - and you can bet that the first time I forget to manually fold will be the day I loose a mirror.
So I need to find a wiring schematic to figure out which wires to use and where to find them.
