Power steering ECU wiring diagram help, ASAP
Hey CL,
i got the passenger side O2 sensor upstream out and when I went to put in all back together, the power steering ECU had a couple of the wires come out of the harness!! See pictures. Ugh. Can someone please post a picture of what wires go where? I finally get the O2 sensor out and now this, I was hoping to drive the car this weekend. So I am hopeful someone here can help me out, as the car is kinda blocking my driveway and the Mrs needs to get her car out and I didn't want to have to push this thing tomorrow so can get her car out...

Please help
Hi, just following on from the above, I have a problem with my power steering not working but mine was caused by jump starting with the leads connected the wrong way around. The first thing that blew was the 150a fuse link along with 3 fuses passanger side, no 4 (10a) no 14(20a) and 15(20a). This is in the passanger foot well. On the drivers side in foot well, fuse no6(10a) and fuses 12 & 13 (both 20a) blew. Also in the engine compartment, fuse box type a, fuse no 4 (30a).
After replacing all fuses including Fusable link part no 82620-30170 (purchased new from Yam6 for £98.00 (yam6 are excellent for Lexus parts and very helpful based in Southampton - 01489-574089 )
I also replaced the ps module with a number as near as possible. The original part number is 89650-53051 and I replaced with 89650-53050 but the power steering still does not work with the light staying on. When ran through a diagnostics no error codes showed up. Everything else works. I have another Lexus 07 is220d and when I put the 35051 module in it, the ps worked fine, the module from the 07 Lexus has a part number ending in 020, it knocked the ps light out in the non working 2011 is200 but still no power steering so I reinstalled the original ending in 51 back into the is200d.
any help would be greatly appreciated as at wits end, no one for my stupidity in getting the wires mixed up. I have taken loads of photos of how to remove the fuse link and reinstall and will post accordingly if anyone has difficulty removing this from the 200/220 series Lexus.
Thanks in advance

Hi Idibui1
thank you for your prompt reply. I was wondering is there any way to test the ps module and how critical are the numbers on the module, ie, the 2011 module worked in the 07 Lexus giving no issues with the ps but the 07 ps module just knocked of the ps fault light in the 200d 2011 model but still no ps. The other problem is my dealer. They have a habit of use keeping replacing parts. I can buy a ps module brand new from yam6 for close to £600, the dealer is quoting £950 plus vat but are not happy with me supplying the part. Is it likely that I burned out a wire in the loom? As I previously said, everything is now working apart from the ps. Is it possible or where would I get a wiring diagram showing what voltages to expect coming out of the module etc. The auto spark tested for power to the module and its showing a full 12 volts. The alternator is also putting out a healthy 14.2 - 14.4 volts so battery is charging fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated

But simply crossing wire leads usually will not short out modules. Pay for 1 hours of diagnostics. It could just be as simple as a software issue.

Fusable link blown no ps due to reversed battery terminals
You are throwing parts, time, and money hoping/guessing for a fix. This approach will only leave you paying more to fix it. Take it to the toyota dealer or a toyota specialist if you do not trust the lexus dealer.

Yes, you are right, I have it booked in with lexus for 1 hour on Thursday morning. The toyota dealership said they actually did not have access to the lexus software, even though Lexus is part of toyota and said no mater what the diagnosis, I would still have to end up going to lexus to have the ps module reprogramed if it turns out it is not damaged. I think I mentioned that when I put the ps module into my other 07 220d lexus, the ps worked fine.

Error codes c1511 - torque sensor 1
c1512 - torque sensor 2
They don't know exactly what is causing the blockage without a complete strip down, said may need a new column which would cost North of £1000?
Any help or has anyone experienced this issue after having crossed the battery wires the wrong way around?

DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS
These diagnosis codes are set in the following cases:
C1511: Torque sensor main system malfunction
- The torque sensor main output voltage does not agree with the predetermined voltage stored in the microcomputer, and the microcomputer determines that a problem has occurred in the torque sensor main system.
- The torque sensor sub output voltage does not agree with the predetermined voltage stored in the microcomputer, and the microcomputer determines that a problem has occurred in the torque sensor sub system.
CRITERIA FOR JUDGING MALFUNCTION
C1511: Torque sensor main system malfunction
- The torque sensor main output voltage exceeds 4.8 V or less than 0.2 V.
- The torque sensor sub output voltage exceeds 4.8 V or less than 0.2 V.
PROBABLE CAUSES
C1511: Torque sensor main system malfunction
- Defective harness wire(s) or connector(s)
- Defective torque sensor of the steering gear and linkage assembly
- Malfunction of the EPS-ECU
- Defective harness wire(s) or connector(s)
- Defective torque sensor of the steering gear and linkage assembly
