Do any of you have used aftermarket TPMS sensors, if so from where? I have found these but want a bit more info, maybe from someone that has used them before: https://www.carid.com/2006-lexus-gs-...cle%20Specific
I ordered some from ebay when I upgraded my stock wheels. After only two weeks my dash is lit up with warnings and malfunctions. I wish there was a way to bypass the TPMS all together. None of my tires are low nor faulty yet these sensors have apparently malfunctioned or one or more of the batteries are dead. It’s going to cost me time and money to troubleshoot which sensor is causing the error lights to go crazy. It doesn’t even show which tire is low on pressure. It’s a primitive tool used to pull cash out of the pockets of owners and make money for Lexus dealerships.

You don’t have to go to Lexus to find out what sensor is bad. Any reputable tire shop should have the tools to “scan” the sensors.

okay, that’s good to know. So if your info is correct the tire shop shouldn’t have to remove each tire to find the faulty sensor. Forgive my lack of knowledge on these things. I just had them installed. I’ll report back next weekend when I’m off from the job.

They shouldn't have to remove the tire. They just need to scan the sensor to see if it's transmitting data.
