Rotor Recommendation
Looking at getting new rotors. Buying and installing them myself. Ive already purchased Akebono Brake pads front and rear, now looking at rotors todo the job all at once. Ive seen alot of people go with Centric. So far thats my first choice, also considering drilled slotted rotors but not sure if they will make a differnece or are needed. Any suggestions?

I would recommend you sticking with OEM, i really dont trust any other for my gs:

Can't go wrong with Centric. Brembo blanks are pretty good as well. I had cross drilled on my previous car. Didn't care for them much. The drilled and slotted made a lot of "friction" noises but the braking was smooth and powerful. I would probably stick with slotted rotors if you want performance.
OEM rotors seem to use a "soft metal" and prone to warping. I've noticed it on my 2014 Mazda 6 and the GS.
I wish I could have brought some Centric rotors for my '16 IS200t. I was talking to the service guy at work and they said the OEM rotors on the F-Sport package tends to squeal when cold and it's a very loud squeal. There was a TSB out for a new part number but I heard that was a hit or miss deal.

Now that I am checking those Centric Rotors specs, they seem quite good, not cheap btw, and now I remember I used them once for my Jeep Wrangler to improve braking when I lifted it, do you consider them to be better than the Stock from Lexus for the GS?

AKEBONO ACT1118 - 2008 Lexus GS350 front
AKEBONO ACT1113 - rear. If you are planning to do the rears, also pick up the hardware kit. You wouldn't want to reuse the old clips. I think it's about $15 both rear brakes.
It may be slightly cheaper on rockauto.com. You can find a discount code online that drops it down about 5-10%.

My car has StopTech pads and rotors installed by the previous owner. Cross drilled and slotted rotors with street performance pads. I've been pretty happy with them so far. Responsive and quiet. Brake dust sucks but it's great otherwise.
