GS460 exhaust upgrades
I was hoping that someone has done an upgrade to the exhaust system on the GS460. I have had mine for about a year and I like the fact that it is nice and quite I would like a little more rumble. I have contemplated leaving the stock mufflers in place and having the resonator removed or leaving the resonator in place and replacing the stock mufflers with the Borla muffler that is just loader than stock. Any thought or ideas would be appreciated.
Most people go with the Tanabe Medalion setup, which looks and sounds great. Don't do what I did and get the cheap eBay garbage. I ordered the Manzo exhaust, and the quality was absolutely horrible. Put it on anyways to see how it would sound, and it was meh at best. Worst part was that despite all efforts to get it to fit properly, it would rub up against the bumper. Borla would probably sound pretty good, but I'd probably go Tanabe. Go youtube it to listen to some of the setups.
Most vendors that are selling midpipe are without Catalytic Converters. The price point is appealing but by the time you purchase the midpipe and two Catalytic Converters your up to the OEM price point, its decieving and people think thier getting a great deal..
I researched midpipes and catbacks, at the end of the day your better off purchasing OEM around $1400.00, that includes the midpipe, two Catalytic Converters and a resonator.
In my state, running without Catalytic Converters are Illegal and if caught or fail emissions test your license would be suspended..

Tanabe is the best exhaust for this car. High quality, direct bolt on and great sound.
Would you like some pricing?

No because you are still maintaining your primary cats.
