Hi Fellow Lexusonians,
My 07 GS350 touchscreen failed! Wondering if anyone in the Houston/ Galveston area could help me out and yank the system out and replace it with the digitizer that I can buy from the gentleman from this site? If so, how much to do the labor? Thanks in Advance! If you live in the region and had this done at a shop, please let me know where and how much you paid!

 

I just received my digitizer from mr2kieu. I'm about to tackle this job to get my screen back online. What did y'all use to stick the digitizer to the LCD upon re-install?

 

You don’t have to use anything. There is plenty of adhesive left on the unit.

And don’t remove any adhesive either or it won’t stick.

It's not too hard to try and do it yourself. There are some really good detailed guides out there. Unfortunately with my very busy schedule I would not be able to help however don't be discouraged and take things slow. I repaired mine with a circuit writer pen. Did everything exactly as shown in youtube videos.

After discussing the details, we got together and he had it apart and back together again in under 90 minutes! this guy knows what he’s doing!! He replaced my digitizer in my 08 GS350 in only 49 minutes!! Would highly recommend if you live in the Houston area.

 

Just got with Danny to get my digitizer replaced on my 07 3GS. If any of you are in the Houston area, hit him up! Got it done in about an hour.

 

Sorry for replying to an old thread but I wanted to ask one question before purchasing the digitizer (the eBay link still works and will purchase from there). When I enter navigation mode for some reason the touchscreen works. I can tap anywhere with no problems. I've tested all areas of the screen. It's just when I go to all other menus that the screen stops working. Does the navigation happen to use a different digitizer than the rest of the menus? I keep thinking I need to reset something because the touchscreen works in navigation mode but have not found anything. I have access to Techstream and can't find anything in there either.

Had the issue with my 2006 GS300, only few top right part of the screen worked. Bought a 12 dollar digitizer on Ebay, had a local smartphone repair shop swap the screen. Left it one day. Picked it up the following. Even for them it was straight forward and they dont really do car screens. Pics of the screen is on my build thread.
