Wheels - what will fit?
2006 GS430. Looking at replacing my stock wheels. Currently 18x8 et45. Want to go 18x8.5 et25.
Any idea if that'll fit without any rubbing or poke?
I figure it's about 1" total further out than stock. 20mm in the offset and about 6mm for the larger wheel. 25.4mm = 1".

You can figure this out in your driveway. Compress the rear and see if you have 1” extra (plus safety room) on each side vs. the inner fender seam/roll. I doubt it will, but you can check. If you widen the tire, you also need more room for that, above the extra 1+” for the wheel. The extra 1/4” of rim width should not matter when stretch existing tire much; there’s a usually a safe 1/4” either side - but check the tire width and rim compatibility charts (you can google one up quickly). The issue is the offset.
You will also effectively have a 2” wider wheel track in the rear. This will flatten cornering a bit, but also decrease steering response.
