Default How do I disengage the safety crap keeping me from drifting?

'07 GS350 AWD.

Got some awesome snow here yesterday and was playing around in some parking lots and every time I got a good drift or donut going the damn safety features kick in, and kill the power to the wheels and I have to start over.

First world problem for sure, but very frustrating.

Are you talking about the traction control button ? Just hold it down for a few seconds until the light pops up on your dash. It's located by the power/snow button

TCS/ VSC?

1. Make sure the car is in Park and the parking brake is disengaged before you start the car.
2. Start the engine.
3. Engage the parking brake.
4. Fully depress the brake pedal and then release.
5. Fully depress the brake pedal and then release.
6. Disengage the parking brake.
7. Fully depress and hold down the brake pedal.
8. Engage the parking brake, the disengage it (while holding down the brake pedal).
9. Engage the parking brake, the disengage it (while holding down the brake pedal).
10. Release the brake pedal.
11. Engage the parking brake.
12. Fully depress the brake pedal and then release.
13. Fully depress the brake pedal and then release.

* When the "Check VSC" icon is displayed in the multifunction display along with the "Trac-off" icon indicator, you'll know that you have successfully complete the procedure! Your car is transformed!

*** One the car is started you have 30 seconds to complete the process. With practice, the procedure can be completed in app. 15 seconds, unfortunately, must be repeated each time the car is switched off (all systems are returned back to normal).

Just a heads up, this takes off ALL assists. Hope you don't hit a tree or pole.

Searching around it seems people have reported holding the TCS off button for >10 seconds seems to work. Your results may vary.

It's not that hard, lol... Just hold the traction control button for 3 seconds and the light turns on your dash saying it's disabled. You don't need to do the pedal dance to turn of the traction control. That just disables everything.

You will be able to drift and do donuts all you want , just be careful .

This doesnt apply to the 2006 GS430? I do know that if you have a CEL or check engine light on all that safety stuff is off and does not come back on no matter how fast you spin the tires. Had a cat converter fail and I was able to make the car do whatever I wanted then!

Looked specific for the 450h's. Pedal dance works for my 06 430
