GS300 AWD water pump replacement
So my friend has an '06 GS300 AWD
I came across a great 3-part youtube video of a guy swapping out the water pump on a GS350. Seemed just as straightforward as changing out the pump on an IS250 (something I might have to do soon to my IS250, hence my water pump investigation.) Took him something like an hour of actual wrench time and no real need for special tools. And the dude did it almost entirely with one hand.
Is it similar with a GS300 AWD? Or is there more effort like discharging the AC to move the compressor, etc? If it turns out he needs to replace the pump in the future I think he would prefer to do it himself if possible rather than pay the $700 or whatever the dealership would want.
Are there any write-ups or videos anybody knows of for this model? I ran a couple searches but didn't come up with any DIY replacement info

jut did mine last week on a gs300 AWD. pretty easy job just follow the youtube video. when reinstalling I used 15ft/lbs on the 12mm bolts and 9ft/lbs on the 10mm bolts since the block is aluminum you don't want to over tighten them because it will strip out easily. not sure if you have a thermostat but I ended up getting mine from the dealer (it was cheaper than the auto parts store) good luck to you
