Default 2007 GS350 code P0013 (check engine on)

I have 07 350 and my check engine light is on, i had it scanned and they told me that the code is BP0013 and bank 1 Cam position sensor is bad.

Can someone plz tell me what that code means and where is that sensor located???

Did you disconnect the battery and reconnected it? This same code came up for me when I kept touching the negs back and forth together by mistake. I had the code cleared and it never came back.

If this isn't the issue, The cam position sensor should be on either side of the head of your engine.

No I mean, did this occur in the process of connecting and disconnecting the battery?

That's what happened to me lol. I'd start with having your local autozone/advanced auto parts store resetting the code and see if it pops up again.

bank 1 is passenger side. the cam sensor is a black plastic sensor one towards the front of the engine (intake) and the other is between the furthest spark plugs (3&5) on the head above the header (exhaust)
I think 'A' is intake and 'B' is exhaust. Hope this help

I did try to clear it it comes back on right away.

I also swapped sensors (one that is located between 3 and 5) from passengers side
To driver side, cleared the code with obd II scan tool, and the code comes right on
Before i even start the car. (Same code P0013).

Any idea, anyone?

Try switching the vvt oil control solenoid, they are the ones with the round metal base in front of the engine on top of each cam

That did it, after checking vvt solenoid, one of the connections (on the passanger side) was loose.

Thanks so much!!!
