error code P0014

error code P0014

My boyfriend used a code scanner and got the error code P0014. My check engine light and vsc light was on too. Anyone know what this means?

either vvti gear assy or sensor or battery was dead

battery was just replaced at 117000 miles. That did cause a lot of problems because I had trouble starting it. So it probably is a sensor. I just wasnt sure what it meant. Thanks!
