Just installed the 01-03 Injen intake on my 2006 GS430. This sounds way different than when I had an intake on my IS300 but so far I like it! Install was super easy.

 

Should put back on the fresh air duct in the middle so its not all engine air

 

Was this not meant to fit our cars? It looks like you damaged your engine cover.

 

YEa put that plastic back that lets in air to the engine

 

Did you need to cut the engine cover? Any sound clips?

 

I've had an eBay intake before on a 4.7L tundra and it sounded like a beast. Where did you purchase yours if you don't mind me asking?

 

On mine, we just trimmed mounting tab and a part of the left engine cover to clear the pipping

No sound clip yet was out of town this past weekend. I needed to cut it to make it fit, we had a SC430 in the shop and I want an engine cover from that car as it has black accents on it that I like more than just silver.

I can try again but it didn't fit with the intake pipe attached. But I might try again.

I bought mine from Amazon.

 

kenne01, I don't know if you're familiar with forums, but you don't have to copy and paste all that.

There's a section where it says "quote", the clipboard with the + sign, and the quick reply button all the way to the right.

The clipboard with the plus sign is for multiple quotes, so you don't have to do too much work to copy and paste people's words .
