Tire wear - no solution
I just got spanking new tires, did alignment at Lexus and used for 1 summer and 4 tires are wearing on the inner side(most damaged are front tires). Everything is oem, no mods, not lowered etc...all stock! except my tires/rims, I have 18" with 245/40/18 with aftermarket rims and I have hub rings with it.
Anyway, after extensive research multiple trips to various mechanics, most said it was struts so I'm going to give it a shot and replace them. I'm at 250,000KM + anyway so I could just a change. So what do you guys think the culprit is? I was thinking of even changing rims because I thought it was bent or something but it seems fine. I just wanted to try and change the cheaper parts first...
PS. Has anyone ordered from Lexus Direct Parts.ca before? It's the cheapest I can find so far but their site looks fishy...beats dealer price anyway.

I would use oemlexusparts.com or sewells. Might want to order bump stops also with that. kyb has a Q and A for the shocks causing tire wear http://www.kyb.com/knowledge-center/...wear-unevenly/ some good info on tire wear http://www.monroe.com/en-US/support/Symptoms/Tire-Wear

your front Lower control arm (LCA) #2 bushing could be bad and need to be replaced. I had mine replaces with FIGS RAcing poly Bushing. Car is fine so far with them with no wear. look into that also since you are stock. this problem usually arrives after about 50k miles or so.

According to the alignment shop I go to, the 3GS' are a nightmare to correct properly. Not sure how true this is, but apparently certain wheels (forget if he said front or back) aren't able to be adjusted much?

AWD or RWD. make sure you tell your alignment guy because they have different settings for factory alignment. i had a vibration problem from where they were aligning my car to RWD specs when i was AWD. sometimes people that do the alignment dont care they just enter the car model and make and click whatever is showing on their menu before they do the alignment.
but yes shocks can also be a culprit. and what phantom says the LCA bushings can get worn pretty easily since they are rubber. i made the investment to go with FIGS LCA. made a world of a difference and will never regret it
the 3gs is not a nightmare to align lol. ride height first, camber (if you got it), then toe... simple. =) only took ath the most 45 min to do mine. i believe the rear camber cannot be adjust with stock parts and the rear toe cannot be adjust that much.
