Default 2007 GS350 Cruise Control not working

I just noticed the other day that my cruise control stopped working.

The cruise light will come on, but when I try to set it...nothing. The speed just drops off.

Any thoughts? I did some searches but nothing came up.

Thanks in advance

As pman stated look for blown fuse, and or disconnect the battery for at least 30 min

Make sure all your brake lights work. Cruise will not work if brake lights don't work (like a burnt bulb)

I know it has been a while, but never got a round to doing anything with this.

So, I did all of the above...disconnect and reconnect the battery, checked all of the fuses under the dash and under the hood, verified the brake lights all work and checked the switch under the brake pedal. All checked OK and the cruise control is still not working.

Any other thoughts?

Thanks in advance

Does it have dynamic radar control?

No it does not.

I was thinking about something though...

I did the DVD hack on it (grounding the parking brake input and disconnecting the speed sensor from the Navigation unit) and recently updated the Navigation to the latest Maps.

When I put the maps disc into the navigation DVD, the system installed the new firmware that was on the disc.

When I think back, it seems my problem started around the time I installed the new maps software.

Another issue that started happening with the new disc was when I deviated from the route mapped out by the navigation it will not re-calculate the route. I also noticed the navigation maps are a lot more jerky now.

I am wondering if the firmware now has the car looking for the speed input to the navigation differently that is causing these problems...including the cruise control.

Any thoughts?

I am thinking I am going to undo the hack and see if the problem is fixed.

On another note, does anyone know if there is a way to downgrade the navigation firmware? If I put the old disc in it just goes back to the old maps...no change to the firmware.

Thanks in advance...

Default I have similar cruise inopp issue but battery light on

Did you fix this issue? . I am experiencing same issue in my gs 350.2008 model . Started after going thru a car wash. Picked it up and Cruise control lights up on the dash board display when turned on however cant set the speed.. drops off. Also, battery light is on in cluster. Runs at 13V. Car starts without foot on brake. Check engine light comes on intermittently like after driving 80 plus miles, then goes out about same. Pretty sure there is an O2 issue caused by a faulty O2 sensor that has a high resistance connector due to antifreeze coroding the connector. Going to start recording mileage when noticing change and order a new O2 sensor. Maybe a full set. Battery light and cruise is confusing. Brake lights work.

Please advise[/QUOTE]
