Default oil on spark plug

so ive been meaning to change my spark plugs cause I had gotten an error code for a misfire but it seemed to go away.now some time last week I was kinda racing a friend of mine on the highway was doing like about 80-90 mph when the check engine light came on and the check VSC and the car started like sputtering. so I was thinking ok great the misfire is happening again, but this time it was different it would stutter at low speeds before it would stutter like around 70 mph. so I parked the car ordered new spark plugs when I went to change them one of them had oil on it and the ignition coil. it was the one closet to the front of the car on the passenger side. my question is what could cause this to happen. thanx in advance

I wouldn't know, but there has been an engine misfire recall for the 06 GS300. I don't know too much, but there's a sticky thread on here about it. Maybe this pertains to the problem you're having?

Take it to the dealer, sounds like to me. You have carbon buildup and that cylinder with the oil in it has fully coated the piston rings. Your engine may need a full rebuild.

The good news is Lexus will rebuild your engine for free. Just take it in for service and explain your problems to them.

Spark plug tube seal. Need to remove the valve cover and replace seals and cover gasket.

If the oil was only on the outside of the plug and the coil you're probably right. I'd definitely check that before tearing into a motor rebuild.
