Lightbulb GS 350 Intake Question

Greetings

For those of you with engine mods, can I add an intake kit to replace my stock one without having to do any special tuning or exhaust mods to the car? I know that on many other vehicles one must do something to balance the air & fuel ratio somehow by fine tuning the mapping or installing something else on the other end like CAT removal or a full exhaust.

Has anyone here done an intake mod and had good results from doing so (like gain in mpg or perhaps hp gain?) or does it just produce a cool sound to the engine? Obviously it must breathe better with an open air intake or even a Cold Air Intake box of sorts like I have on my Diesel (Volant) CAI. Bottom line - does it pay to do this at all of just leave the damn thing stock?

Considering there are no "tuning" options for this car, even if it required tuning you wouldn't be able to do it.

It's a waste of money IMO. These cars aren't good for engine mods. There is no aftermarket support for engine mods. You can make the intake louder and make the exhaust louder, but that's about it.

Just be happy with the 300+ hp you already have and spend your money on something else.
