Guys

I'm actually looking to install a unit only for bluetooth phone calls. I currently use a bluetooth headset and people can hear me very clearly. Do you guys think the Grom unit would be as good in audio quality for the far end. Basically will the microphone pick up my voice as good as regular headsets?

Thanks

I have GROM audio setup in my 06 430, I am a very dissapointed in the bluetooth streaming sound quality, and every so often I need to turn the radio on and off again to get the BT to connect..I guess I got what I paid for going with GROM. I have alot more complaints lol PM me for details.

Damn a GS470? Where did you score that unicorn at?

There is a space between the nav-cd that's big enough for the unit in the GS. You might have to separate the units slightly to fit it in there. Not sure if its the same on your model though.

Lol I think he meant 460. Here's a link to the thread with the installation plus pics.

I installed a Vaistech MML in mine. I have a few pics up showing where I mounted the unit:

Haha, my bad... its an LX, got my model boards confused...

I ended up putting it in the glove box, glad i did too, b/c I had to access the unit quite a few times after install to get the programming i wanted done.

I did see a spot or two that it could possibly fit out of sight but I think I'm just going to velcro it to the glove b. interior and keep access that way.

Cool unit, only problem i've had so far is that it WILL NOT go into MP3 emulation mode, dk why, followed the interactions, did all of the other programming no problem, may call vais about it this week.

However, the sl3b did eliminate my 'agree' screen which for me was almost worth the 2 bills alone...

According to the SL3B manual, it does have a USB Port for charging only. I don't believe unit comes with a cable though.

I ended up picking the SL3b over the MML.

Do any of the models work on a GS350 with no navi no ML?

Hello,

I have the sl3b installed in my 07 gs350 w nav+ml. I'm very happy with sound quality my only gripe is the audio cuts out intermittently. Sometimes it's frequent, other times it works fine. Any thoughts on why this may be happening? Thanks
