That's the way how others try to make money. To stole a both mirrors need only 14-20 seconds on brutal way.

Question - do you have same problems ?
Sorry to hear...

It's a huge problem in Viet Nam as well. It's so bad that my friend even has a contact who can locate the mirrors to buy them back. When you put them back all of the crack lines even match exactly lol. They have since installed a metal rod to secure the mirrors to the car now, and has deterred the theft...so far.

That's actually the dumbest thing I've heard of people doing. I'm surprised they even go after BMw/benz as well, in all of Europe those cars are 'common'...

In North America any Lexus going through an auction leaves without the shift ****... Any and every lexus I've seen go through my friends shop has come in with no shift ****.

The lot lizards steal them and sell them on ebay for 80-100$ everyday. Same with the mats on the interior. My mom's Ct200h had no mats when it came in from auction.

I recommend that you hide in the bushes with a shotgun and blow the legs off the bastard that tries to steal them.

.
BMW / MB / LEXUS / PORSCHE / LAND ROVER are the most popular cars that gets robbed. Mirrors, parking sensors, moldings - easy to steal, fast for selling.

For example - x2 mirrors, x2 mirror holders from Lexus part seller costs 2400 USD + painting, and work.
In "market" stollen mirrors goes for 700 USD.
We mark the mirror with VIN or number plate numbers - but thats not a problem to sell stollen mirror not in the same country, but sell them for example in Russia.
That is pricey, you should source them out here in the US then, about half the price + shipping (that includes mirror assembly & glass).

GL!

p.s. you should check out l-tunedparts.com and ask if they are willing to do int shipping for you. The CL members discount does wonders on parts .

I see, over here in the US when HIDs were new-ish... people use to rip the headlights out with crowbars and sell the HID systems for $300+ a set. It's easy money for kids.

Ouch....

That bites!!! If it were me? look for ANY wheel same bolt pattern, can be doughnuts, get the car home and park it in the garage rather than leave it there....

Those rotors are done, the bottom half of the car done, the exhaust probably done..... that's $$ right there
