So I got a 2007 Lexus GS350 a month ago as a birthday gift.
However the HiD headlights will turn on but after some time the driver side one will just turn off.
I was on a trip with friends yesterday and while coming back I checked if bothe headlights were on before I left ( They were) but after like 2 hours of driving I got home and before turning off the car i checked the headlights and noticed the driver side was off again.
I wanted to know if this could just be the headlight dying and needing to be replaced or if it may be something else.

PS: First post of many to come on this forums :> I'll probably be modding many things on the car.

dont worry about it, its a common problem so it gets posted all the time. glad to see that you use the search feature though, its lost among some people.

im sure you saw it in the other thread but just try swapping the bulbs to the opposite side, if the problem follows, then its a bad bulb. if you do buy replacement bulbs, do not get cheap ones as some people report the same problems still. Garax makes nice afford bulbs.

 

I have a friend who will be changing all the front lights for me. The fogs to HiDs and changing the highbeam and the other bulb in the same compartment to a matching color and will get new bulbs for the HiD headlights. I'll be getting this done by the end of this week when the parts come in. If the problem stays I will try Garax. Hopefully it doesn't because he has the same HiD bulbs and have never given him a problem.

I was looking for a nice bright color so I asked him to get 6000K color temp because it looks white and has a unnoticeable blue tint. I have cataract in both eyes so I have trouble driving at night. Hopefully the HID fog lights with the new headlight bulbs will make it easier.
