Question Can the 2006 tail light be opened?

Hi All,

One of the lens in the right outer tail light of my 06 GS300 has become dislodged? Is it possible to open the tail light to get to the lens?

Thank you

Not many people have done this... Can you snap a picture of what's going on?

If it is what I think it is, it may be glued... And you just have to remove the taillight, put it in an oven at x-x-x degrees (refer to headlight removal for a guide), and let the glue melt to pull the taillight apart.

GL OP!

hrmm..... www.tinypic.com

I use that for temporary photo storage.... Also, resize your images if they're too big.... if they're too big sometimes they don't work. If the size of the photo is HUGE, then your photo will take a lot longer to process through during the upload (unless of course you know all this, then my bad lol).

Default Picture of dislodged lens

This might not be the best picture but it should give an idea. Haven't seen anyone with this problem.

Yeah..... remove your taillight and see if there are any further screws holding it in

If not, it's oven time for removal

Not sure how it happened...It has small tabs at the end that holds it in place but they might have snapped. I probably will go for a new one.

lol.... Definitely do a write-up for future owners! If you get a new one, you should definitely experiment with that one and open it up!

Oh how I wish it was your driver side I actually only need the outer lens and would have loved to take it off ur hands.
