I got the pipes off a member here who had his car tested by Invidia when they made these. He literally sold them to me at giveaway price.
Regarding installation, I don't know about your part of the world, but labor here is dead cheap. Got them installed for less than 30 bucks!

You will not get any relevant performance gain unless you can crack the V8 GS ECU. Which cannot be manipulated.
The best you can do is add a performance panel filter like K&N or Tom's.
And replace your catted mid pipes with an Invidia resonated mid pipes.
Your axle back exhaust can be replaced with something lighter perhaps.
And if you're lucky you can de-cat your primary exhaust manifolds and have O2 simulators installed to cancel out any potential CEL.
Anything else and you're asking for trouble. Unless you can find a way to crack that ECU and keep your parameters stable, you will not be able to play around with timing, and boost should you decide to force induce your engine!
Here's what an invidia mid pipe looks like on a V8. The flanges that connect to the headers need to cut off and rotated to fit the angle of the stock flanges. Also, the O2 sensor bungs need to be relocated. Nothing a good exhaust shop can't handle in a couple of hours!
Stock Midpips
I used an Apexi Neo A/F controller with a custome made harness I purchased from Passnu.. it didn't work. I was able to run a TRD supercharger on my GS460 but things didn't work out too well as I was not able to control A/F and that almost blew my motor!
Here's a video of what potential a GS460 could have if it was possible to keep it reliably stable!

Ok I'm hope I'm reading this right!! I actually need a stock Cat Converter. The dealer wants $2000 so if I go with a full exhaust like that you have. DO I STILL NEED THE STOCK CAT CONVERTER? I'm not into exhaust systems and this is my first system so I hope this isn't a stupid question. Thanks for the help. Great ride as well!

If you don't want to look for any "special" exhaust systems.
Purchase a universal hi-flow catalytic converter (I'd recommend looking at magnaflow) and have an exhaust shop replace it. It shouldn't be too hard

On my car, I had two cats where the midpipes are, and two more cats where the "headers" are (immediately where the midpipe bolts onto the manifolds)!

when he says top end, I think he lost TQ in the lower end, but gained more in the top end of the RPM range.
Meaning it's a gradual graph going up as he goes higher in the RPM range vs having a steady TQ range throughout.

I really wanted to dyno it stock and then with mid pipe, then with cats, I just couldn't schedule it and even ended up at the shop till 4am one night just to do my cats.
I am now spending late nights to do my turbo project in my truck - not enough hours in the day!
I was thinking to dyno our bone stock '06 gs430 against my modded one...
