Default exhaust help please

Can anyone confirm if the 05 GS430 uses the same set up as the 06 GS430 I want to get a Borla exhaust straight back and the SRT intake to "hear" this V8. Its just to quiet for a old man like me

Everything I find for this car is up the 05 (2gen) Gs430? Man there is no love for this car! I thought the IS was bad for aftermarket parts.

Thanks!

Sorry, no help on the exhaust (no modding bug here), but the lack of parts makes total sense. The 06 GS430 is a single year model. The 07 GS430 is a single year model.

I think that the 05 and the 06 model should not have that much of a change.....so I would say go ahead and do it.....

So, your answer to the question "Can anyone confirm..." would be "no" then

Exhaust parts have to have the same routing and mounting. 05 and 06 GS430s are different cars with the same engine. With all respect, there's no reason to believe the exhaust is identical.

Looking at pictures of some of the different aftermarket systems on the L-tuned site, they appear to be different.

Call Luis Salazar at Carson Toyota he helped me with my exhaust that wasn't supposed to fit my '07 GS AWD and the one he recommended fit perfectly. Good price too.

just cut it off and use the mufflers portions of the exhaust, and take it to any exhaust shops that can do mandrel bending, they can easily make it to work.

but be careful because using exhaust not specifically designed for the car can have negative effects on your performance.. back pressure problem

i have a shop that can do a full custom set up and bend but no one uses SS or the ones that can get it can no mandrel bend it. my fear is with the salt from the winter that it will eat through the stuff the shops use and all of them use it around me. I may just get this done on Saturday am and then get it coated. The owner has a GS40 and pretty much did what I want so that is pushing my business towards him and its only ~ 500$ for the midpipe and the rear with mufflers and then its up to the tips I choose. Basically for ~600$ I can have a full set up and the axle back ones I can find are upwards of 800+....I want a loud set up and the 05 and 06 are different as the 2 gen has 2 mid pipes and the 3 gen has one mid pipe. the design "looks" much better IMO from a flow standpoint on the 2 gen GS400/430 then the 3gen GS430. I have compared it with many local members. This also has me torn as to what to do. Should I go farther up and have 2 pipes with an X pipe in the back like the 2gen or do one larger pipe with a Y pipe in the rear??

I will post pics of what I end up with and pics for those that may share the same interest that I do while the car is on a lift.

Thanks!
