Like it says, I've been dying to find out if others have driven long distance and how many miles they have put on. I ask this because I have been debating to drive down to FL, but the mileage is just way to much for me to cope with. I'm looking at 1,373 mi, 20 hours 37 minutes this is one way so a total of 2,746 Miles that I would be putting on. I'm currently at 70,500 miles, the longest I have ever driven is from Boston to Cape May NJ. Please give any insight.
20hrs, best make that into 2 days. 8hrs drive is enough for 1 day. Split between 2 drivers, you should make that 20hrs in 2 days easily.
If you value your life, don't stretch your endurance. It's not worth it.
Try to stick to day time driving. Too many benefits to day time driving to even count.
Things you can do to relief stress while driving:
- rub back of neck
- rub legs (put on cruise control to take your leg off the peddle)
- drinks
- snack (cool if the wife feed you)
- stop for meals/pee/etc....... I prefer doing these off the road, not on the side of the road. Going into exit or rest stop.
Stay safe and enjoy your trip.

Well however long it takes really dont mind stopping in some states.
LOL More like the GF annouying the hell out of me! Don't worry with that I would have to stop somewhere can't take that the whole way up. I figured two days.
I have no problem flying its more or less the drive to drive my car and let it be seen.

Yeah seeming to lean towards flying there that was my original choice but then one of my family members suggested I drive my car. I just don't want to put that many miles on my car in one drive.
i did san jose (ca) to dallas (tx) in my gs300, 1690 miles, ~25 hours total. we did it in two days, 10 hours driving first day, 15 the next...it was not fun.
we were moving, and i would've flown but didn't want to subject my dog to flying in the cargo hold of an airplane.
