took some pics of the damage after i got home; did not think about taking photos after the accident occurred...

got hit by a '99 chevy tahoe. if you look carefully in the last two pics, he left his truck's tow hook in my rear bumper...that's how hard i got hit!

Sorry to hear that. I just went through the same situation. Tweaked me a bit but the damage wasn't too bad. There is a nice imprint of her license plate on my bumper. $650 to repair.

it's more than my bumper, its also the trunk. perhaps the pics don't show quite clearly, but in pic #1 you can see the trunk popped up from the impact. i haven't tried it, but i think its jammed in that position.

i don't think there's any quarter panel damage, but i could be mistaken. the rear tail lights have popped out, and the rear bumper that meets the quarter panel has also popped out.

definitely new rear bumper required; not sure if trunk requires replacement tho...

Glad that you are ok and terribly sorry to see this happen. Really sucks.

You are right, I think it'll be a shocker too once the adjuster sees it. If you're lucky, they'll total it, although not likely. Sometimes it's surprising though.

The guy that hit you was probably texting or something. One of my biggest pet peeves that I see on the road.

Good luck to you!

patrick, listen to me. go to a chiropractor tomorrow no matter what. it's the other guy paying, it's your right. same thing happened to my wife and she didn't go until the week after when sore neck got worse. ended up one of the vertebrae was shifted.

Wow that sucks. But good thing is your ok. Do go to a doctor and have everything checked out. Spine is a mysterious thing.

If the quarters are not moved I think it can be fixed fine. New bumper , bumper rail, trunk. As long as the quarters are perfect it's fixable. But you know better I assume .
