Sorry to see that happen to a nice GS, but glad you are ok. Hopefully your neck problem is not serious.

It's sad that many.. MANY!! people in our society don't value their vehicles like how we do. If i saw a Lambo / Ferrari in front of me, i would know better to give it more then enough room. Shoot, even if i saw a civic in front of me i would still give room to avoid that pain of having to deal with the after math headache (lawyers, insurance, police, ect.) . It's true that sometime you don't have more then a half a second to re react, BUT!! , if you just had a little bit more room then everything would of played out differently. There are many other factors that play in too "i know, i know" Scenery, hot chicks, ect. ect.

But at-lease your safe Storm and that's what really matter's!

so i've started my physio today, so the healing process has begun. so many medical appointments (doctor, physio, massage) for the month of july, it's insane. much thx for the well wishes, i appreciate it.

on a side note, i have been in contact with my body shop. bad news: current estimate of damage is $17,963.74 (and may possibly climb higher), chance of write off unlikely. breakdown is approx $10K in oem parts, and $7K labor. it will also take approx 1 month to repair. good news: no frame damage, even tho the gap in the left rear door is smaller than the right side. the shop foreman told me that can be fixed no problem. sigh.

currently debating whether i should make the jump to a 4GSh or 4GS F-Sport.

I hope you are alright man, lately I have seen so many people getting rear-ended in the Vancouver area, and everyone is driving crazy / tailgating, don't know why so many people became so bad at driving all of the sudden. Of course this may just be an unavoidable accident but still.... Well I would also say go for the 4GSh, sat in one none hybrid version just a while ago, and tbh I fell in love and my opinions on the look of the car changed.

A month and 18K! Holy cow. That's insane. I know I would be looking for something else! Good luck with everything. Especially the rehab!

i've been told this morning that the time to repair has been updated, it's been revised down from 1 month to 17 days. cost of repair still the same.

hehehe, expect that 1-month time interval or more. It's just the way it is.... Hopefully you'll be behind the wheel again!

I still say you're going to miss your 3GS if you jump away from it. Test drove a 4GS and I just can't adapt to it.
