Default how long to replace these bulbs?

hey guys,

was planning on replacing my fogs, DRL, parking lights, and low beams.

its all total plug in play with no wires or ballasts or anything so the only issue is getting to the bulbs and replacing them and then putting everything back together.

i was going to have a shop do the work for me and was wondering how long do you think it should take a professional installer to do the job?

he told me it was going to be a pain getting to the bulbs cuz he had to remove the whole engine cover and the clips were a pain in the *** etc and so he quoted me between 1.5-2.5 hrs for all the bulbs.

that seemed a lil high to me after looking over the DIY guide.

thoughts? (and please save the admonishments about not doing it myself please that is an entirely different subject. i'm not asking for opinions on wether or not i should pay someone just asking for opinions on how long it should take them).

cheers.

not..... high beams + parking lights total of 2 minutes, low beams maximum of 15 minutes (the low beams are actually the hardest part to be honest, PITA to swirl it around). the foglights are about 15 minutes tops. Whoever you took it to is full of crap =P. The engine cover and it's clips is LITERALLY, LITERALLY 30 seconds to take on and take off, i did it with one hand, while recording with the other while trying to do the tutorial on the high-beam/DRL tutorial for when you need to fix a blown fuse. The video ended up being too many MB so i scrapped it.

word... did my DRL and low beam HID light in 30mins... really not hard at all, but not mean is easy, the putting new lowbeam bulb is the annoying part finding the right spot... never look into fog light so that will be my next project

the foglight is super easy, almost as easy as the DRL/hi-beams! It's literally take old bulb out, put new bulb in. The hard part is finding a new mounting point for your ballast (LITERALLY). I used a screw right above for a mounting point for my ballast, never been more satisfied .

Also, Brabusx2, i've replaced so many bulbs (due to my uncle purchasing cheap $35 d2s replacements), that I've now perfected low-beam replacing and I can do it in 2-3 minutes, LITERALLY hahaha...

damnit man why can't you live in cali?

anyone in the bay area who's done this a bunch want to help me out?

i don't think the low beams and DRL will be that tough just a lil worried about the process of getting down to the fogs.

the good news is the fogs are being replaced with LEDs so no worries about mounting ballasts or installing relay wiring etc.

yea the low beams are the hardest part because of how they clip in. just remember how you take the old bulb out and put the new one in the same way.

fogs are easy. a few screws to remove so you can find your hand behind the liner and then its a simple twist and its out.
