http://www.autogeek.net/tree-sap-remover.html this also works.. I didn't go on this site to find it, i kind of googled it, but I've heard this stuff's boss

That'a amazing btw bigblack, does this work for grease-stains?

I know, but you know how it is when you start doing the process, you'll end up getting vinegar on the vital parts (like paint and plastic) so it's better to be safe than sorry . for me, i'd just stick to some good ole clay bar, hand polishing on the glass, seal and wax for long term beading action.!
Well you dont want to throw a bottle on the windshield, but you should use a cotton ball and try to rub it out, I've tried it on my 04' GS 430 it worked. Not sure on grease-stains.

Very interesting Alcohol is used as a solvent to dissolve tree sap. So a spray bottle full of alcohol or just some hand sanitizer, it doesn't matter, both work very well It is also used as a prep in car detailing when prepping to do a coat of sealant.

http://www.gardeningknowhow.com/tree...e-tree-sap.htm

"For instance, one of the most common household items for removing sap is rubbing alcohol. Alcohol acts as a solvent, breaking up sap and dissolving it."

All in all, great find bigblack!

To report back, I tried rubbing alcohol on the windshield without much improvement, but clay bar took the stuff right off. I went ahead and clay bar'd my entire car and did two layers of wax. Finally, for the first time after the rear-ending 6 weeks ago, did I feel my car is back to a point where I can enjoy it once again!

Thanks for all the help.

hehe, enjoy it! Wait until you get deep into detailing (especially with stuff like sealant). It will be painstaking to do the process in 2 days, but well worth the wait as that stuff will give you protection for a whole year!
