yes you can clear the CEL and it shouldn't come back if these are installed.

 

I removed the cats on my old G35 and was able to get rid of the CEL with some brake pedal dancing ( series of steps to reset the sensors) but like mentioned above the car was running rich and started to develop problems. If you're going to do anything like that I would HIGHLY suggest that you get a tune to compensate for your performance mods. IMHO I wouldn't touch the cats,must if you are going to do it at least do it the right way.

 

I am guessing any exhaust shop should be able to work with them? will see if I could just get the o2 simulators from sikky or ppe.
