So I guess they will fit without any modification then? The coilovers just lower the car, correct? I want to get some wheels, but I don't want to mess with the factory suspension in fear of ruining the ride any more than the aftermarket wheels and tires will.

^It all depends on his drop and camber...Fronts either way wont be any issue. I ran 255 up front and little lower offset with out any mods. The rears may need a little trim but again this all depends on the amt of drop.

Like I said, I really would like to avoid a drop and just put some nice wheels on the car. Do you know the max size I can put on an '08 GS350 AWD without any modifications?

I think when you go with 19"+ on the AWD, the car would look pretty goofy without a drop. It looks pretty goofy as is with the stock 17" wheels.

With my old rims I had 245/35/19x8.5+35 in the front and 275/30/19x9.5 +40 in the rear and I didnt rub at all. I was dropped about 2-3 inches and I'm AWD..

Did you have any shaking or vibrations from that setup? How's the ride compared to the stock ride?

then stick with 18" rims and factory specs and tires. you need to either lower the car or do the RCA's to kill that gap if you want to push the offset and tire sizes.

*Keep in mind, all cars are different and so are opinions of ride quality*

In the set up mentioned above, I had minor shaking/rattles at idle or at a light and minor vibrations. Nothing major at that point in time. My wife drives the car a lot and she can deal with it.

The lower you go on your car, the rougher the ride will get, especially with low profile tires. Good quality coilovers will be a wise investment if you want a close to stock ride, but there will still be some difference IMO.

Now I have 20's and I feel the road a lot more. To me there was a big difference between the 19's and 20's in ride quality. Then again, I had some cheap Falken tires so I duno. I'm in the process of getting new tires, so hopefully this next set will be better. Looking to get some Hankooks..
