Default Ride quality

I have recently bought a 06 gs300 with 50k miles from Lindsay Lexus in Alexandria. It is awd. When driving it is like I feel every little bump in the road. The dealership says that's normal. I was wondering if that's the way they ride or what could be causing this? I moved up from IS300 and I feel like its a luxury car so I shouldn't feel a whole lot. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

What kind of tires does it have? The run flat tires that came from the factory gives the GS a way harsher ride, and it is very noticeable comparing one with and one without the RF tires.

It has Michelin hx mxm4 on it I'm not for sure if those are run flats or not.

Was going to say the same thing... tires. My runflats gave a harsh ride. It was so much better when I changed tires. I really noticed the difference because the road to my garage was cobblestone.

They could be, but we don't know for sure because there wasn't enough information.

Mostly everyone changes the run-flats out because it feels like the tires will guide itself into a ditch if you hit a rock or pothole. Good luck!

+1 I changed my runflats and I had Bridgestones, they were great when it came to cornering and being sticky to the road, but I always felt like I was driving with no tires cause I felt every little bump. I have Pirelli's and I'm happy with the feel.

My car came with run flats, and I had them replaced with 'normal' Michelin, same Model name like yours. The car rides very well. If your tires say ZP (I think), they are the run flat version.

I test drove one with run flats and bought one without, I can tell you that after driving 1000km in 3 days with my new car, the car feels like a LUXYRY car, and this is coming from someone who previously drove the Toyota Avalon. The tires make the ride quality very different. Have you considered the Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires? I am thinking on buying these for my GS and all I have heard are good things about the tire. They are also priced affordable while having a very good thread wear. Only thing is the slight drift to the right some people have.
