Whats up everyone? as you can see I'm new to CL. I've been looking through these threads doing some research on the GS for a little while. Well.. *I'm really interested in purchasing a 07 or 08 GS350 RW drive sometime in the spring. Anyways, I wanted to know which year was more reliable? I just want to make the right decision on purchasing something reliable and not a money pit.*
I went from an '07 to an '08 in the past month. The '08 has a few things that I like better than the '07, such as factory AUX input, turn signals in the mirrors, and the buttons for the trunk and gas door are outside of the drop down panel. The '08 just feels better to me when I'm driving it. That could be because it's a year newer though.
08 is better because it's newer. It will be easier to resell when time comes. But I would not pass up a good 07 if the price was good.
With that said. I prefer the 06-07 grille to 08-up one. Rear bumper is also better looking.
Never cared for side mirror blinkers. It looks cheap in my opinion.
Just went from 07 to 08. 08 just feels newer with few upgrades, but i personally like the 07 18" stock wheels better. Not feeling the propeller look as much
Depends on the price at this point and if you care about the small cosmetic changes. I was just deciding between them and I ended up picking up a 07 with 27k miles for 26k. The 08 wouldve been 3500more. I plan to mod the car a little and hook up I pod/video so many of those minor changes don't bug me. Good luck!!!
I have the '07 and love the car. However the '08's updates make a difference for both resale and looks. I like the signal mirrors (I installed the '11's on my car.) Plus the Grille package is slightly different. Outside of that there is very little difference but those are the most noticeable.
Yeah.. the 08 is really nice looking especially with some of the small upgrades but I'll see what happens later on when I decide to purchase the right GS. Thanks again for all the info! Hopefully I'll have one soon so I can join the club!
