Default Need some quick help please... installing coils and am stuck

Ok guys/ gals

Ran into a problem. I installed the driver side coils no problem. When i started on the passenger side, I got the lower bolt off the bottom of the shock but there is absolutely no play when I try to push it the rotor down to get the shock out. Does anyone know why? Is there a trick in getting it out? Or is it bc the lowered side is putting tension on the sway bar (which is my guess). Anyone.

Edwin

Unbolt the ends of the sway bar. Just make sure the weight is either ON of OFF BOTH wheels before you connect or disconnect the sway bar. The sway bar is a spring. Just like the coils except it's straight; this means it can have a large amount of force stored in it and look totally harmless. When you remove a bolt from a sway bar that's under tension it will release that tension... VIOLENTLY.
Enough preaching... Sorry. (I've heard of people losing fingers to a swaybar.)

When both sides are free of the sway bar the lower control arm will move easily out of your way.

Also... If one side was loose then you probably have a bent swaybar or links.
