Default Looking at a GS430 tomorrow.

Guys I am going to look at this 06 GS430 with 60k miles on it.

I ran the vin on the lexus site and didnt find any sign of the dash and rattles being worked on which I was hoping to find. I didnt drive the car yet and dont know if there are any rattles to begin with.

Here are few things done.

Vin JTHBN96S765003561

C1344 REAR HYDRAULIC LH MALFUNCTION. REINTIALIZE AND CLEAR FAULT MEMORY
RESST ALL PRESSURES
9LB REPLACE REAR BRAKE DUST BOOT BOTH SIDES GS/IS
9LC REPLACE POWER STEERING LINK ASSEMBLY FOR GS430
GOODWILL GESTURE IN THE EFFORTS OF CUSTOMER SATISFACTIONSERVICE MGR SIGNATURE___

I know the 07 model is the one to get, but I can hardly find one and even when i do, they are a lot more expensive.

Car has Cold weather package, even thou I dont see the headlight washers.

they want 23900, Im gonna try to get it for 21.

NJ car, 2 owners.

I plan to keep the car for at least 3-4 years. Next one after that being a GS460 or LS460

Really? how hard was the radio conversion? How much did it cost?

Other thing I could live without is the 06 traction control that cannt be turn off. But I think Ill rig something. Maybe run a switch to the fuse box and disable the system that way if needed.

Im really interested in the 07 radio conversion. I would really love to play Mp3 discs.

You can shut off the nanny systems (TRAC, VSC, VDIM) other than ABS on the '06, but it requires a pedal dance and has to be done every time you start the car. I did it a few times before I replaced my last set of tires and had a lot of big smokey fun in the process.

Really, I would give them a lower price like $18,500 or $19,000 as the car is RWD and the east coast gets a lot of snow, they will have a harder time selling it now than in the summer!

Hmmm....I dont really care for AWD but I might just use that tactic to bring the price down a bit. Thank you!

lol...these cars sell for 18-20k @ the auctions. unless the car is a pos your not buying for anywhere close to this price. And RWD in the widwest will bring all the $$ people like myself would rather have rwd then awd so that saying there ys an @ss for every seat is true

if y get the car for 21 - 22k I would buy it

after i sell my stock navigation ill have a better idea the actual cost. but it wasn't difficult really some rewiring and making of some harnesses and i have everything gen5 offers plus ml+. if all you wanna do is play mp3 then you just need a 07 head unit. but if you want gen5 nav you'll need everything.
also 06 is only year you can do the pedal dance to disable the traction control.

as for the awd and rwd comment. my lexus is what i drive everyday except bad weather i have a 05 f350 dually 4x4 for that. awd kills gas mileage and isnt lowering friendly and adds additional items to go bad
