Default Few random problems on my 06 GS300 :(

Hoping someone can pitch in. I've been quite busy so i've ignored the issues for a while but now i'd like to get them resolved if it's a quick-fix!

-Car no longer tracks mileage for maintenance. I loved the feature of setting the date and miles for my next oil change, but now it no longer tracks. The maintenance is set to ON, but after about 4 months of driving, the mileage remains at what i set it at (3500) and hasn't budged a single mile.

-Both visor mirror lamps are out. is it a coincidence both of these lamps went out at the same time or is there a fuse specifically for the visor lamps?

-How do you reset the A/C system? i recall reading somewhere there is a sequence or button you must hold while turning the car on, if i'm not mistaken..

-My car someones displays Celsius instead of Fahrenheit, but it's very random. it will be Celsius one day, then back to fahrenheit the other.

I doubt there is a dedicated fuse for the visor mirror lamps. Something may have shorted but I bet its just the bulbs, time for some LED's.

If I recall I think you "set" the maintenance wrong. I say this as I did it myself once. If I recall there are two different ways to store info. I think what you did is were you would put in the actual miles that you changed or serviced at. Try it as I think this will resolve your issues. Post back if not.

Have you done any electrical work to your car or any mods that would have required taping into or using any of your current electrical system wiring? Seems odd that it would change from C to F and that both of your mirror lights went out. This makes me think you may have an electrical issue?

Not sure what your looking for on resetting the A/C system?

thank you for your response...

You may have a good point on the electrical issues being a possibility. the only thing i can think of is hard-wiring my V1 radar, but the thing worked fine for quite some time. The v1 functions quite fine and keep in mind although its hardwired, its rarely ever powered on. its typically unplugged from the V1 side, will this still cause issues in the electrical?

as for the AC system, the air will not blow through vents, only through the front defroster. whenever i start up my car, the front defroster light blinks for about 30 seconds. even after that, if i blow ac or heater to any vent settings, it will not work.

Its possible that the radar hardwire may have come lose or the ground wire. The fact that the wire is not plugged in wont harm anything unless something were to have contact. Id start there and just check so you can rule it out. Its easy to access if you didnt install it your self.

The A/C system I never had that issue so maybe someone else can chime in. I do recall something similar happening on the ISx50 for members that did the wire navi hack. If this is something you or someone did I would search there forums and see what or if they found a way to fix this.

Ahh...I had a feeling you were going to say that. Ill post it if I can find it. My guess would be to start in the actual master Navi-Hack thread they have in the FAQ.

I havent browsed the 2gen IS section in a while. Pm JavyLSU and ask him. He probably knows what thread talks about this and if they found a fix or solution to the problem.

Is anyone else having problems with the headlights? My wife tells me they have gone off a couple times but come back on when she turns the switch off and back on.
