Default What should I pay?

So I traded my 2006 GS 300 in for a Nissan Murano because we needed something with more cargo space. I got a great deal on the Nissan so I couldn't pass it up. The deal was if I wasn't crazy about the car my wife would take it when her lease was up and I would look for another GS.

Needless to say I miss my GS and started looking. I found one with 35k on it with NAV & ML. It's Smoky Granite Mica with Black interior. What should I pay in the NJ area?

PS It's not CPO

Thanks in advance.

I'd say $29,500 that would be my low mark and don't go over $30,000.

That's what they are asking. But the car has been on the lot just about 60 days.

Seems like they would be motivated to move it after 60 days. Sounds like if you want the car, you should make them a reasonable offer. I'd start at a point somewhat under what they are asking and work from there. I am sure they will tell you that the price is already at a point where they can't make any money. Stick to your guns and walk if they play games. If they want it sold, they'll call you back! The same old song and dance.

Is this a Lexus dealership?

That's what I was thinking. I'm going to go take a look at it now......it's at a Toyota dealer.

Went to take a look at it yesterday. The car is in great shape. The color is not my favorite but it's not bad. All the windows are tinted which sucks because I will have to remove it or I will get tickets in the town I work in. The tail lights looked smoked/tinted also which I'm not crazy about but can live with. I'm going back now with my wife's car to see if we can make a deal. There aren't many in the area so I want to jump on this one.

Probably should have asked yesterday but is there anything special I should look for being I'm going to be there again?

All service records is always a plus. Plus a CARFAX. I know the CARFAX means nothing to some people. But it at least lets you see what is on it. If not at a Lexus dealership (I think you said Toyota), I would want it to be looked at by a Lexus mechanic. They could pull up service history, etc. Not sure if Toyota can do that. Otherwise make sure you give it a good drive listening for anything that sounds weird, whether it be suspension, stereo, etc. Good luck!

Dark tinted windows are illegal in NJ? It is a strict law for tinted?

Yeah, I would would ask for $27,000 becuase of the tint and the smoked lights, and that tinting law sucks I always get stopped down there when I go on vacation with family, so I understand what your talking about. if they dont agree to the price than just leave.

Yeah the tint law sucks! I was getting at least a ticket a month at one point and finally just removed it. Anyway, it was a no go today they wouldn't move on the price even though the car has been on the lot for 58 days.
