Big Problem
I have a 2008 gs 350 awd and it was purchased not too long ago, and it is from a Lexus Dealer and this is the second time my battery died, I really dont know why the battery is dying like this, could it be from the intake i have? and if i want to bring it back to lexus should i take out the intake? all answers will be helpful
-Take it to lexus to see if your battery is faulty.
-Last I checked intakes do not cause broken batteries.
-Get your alternator checked to see if your alternator's not giving a good enough charge.
-Do you leave your headlights on? SOMETIMES, not ALL the time, your car will leave the lights on after you left the car and that will completely drain your battery (happened to me a few times).
Battery+alternator check can be done at your local advanced auto or autozone, any local place will be more than glad to check the status on your electrical system (free).

Battery is of course not covered. I have a car dealership. If it was having that issue when purchased, you shouldve told them to put it on a "DUE BILL" where they owe you a battery. Now your on your own. No biggie, as long as its battery that needs to be replaced. Atleast now you'll get a new battery with a warranty.

I'd be more than happy to trade him my OEM battery (still under 6yr warranty) for an Optima if he's interested.

If you end up find out what the problem is, please PM me. I'm interested in hearing why cause batteries just don't 'GO DEAD' after 1 year if there's not a problem.
That's how I felt, Optima batteries handle more abuse than conventional OEM batteries, plus the perk of dry cell vs wet batteries is a better option IMO, especially with the weather we've been getting.I had your same exact problem. I bought my 07 gs350 1.5 years ago. 1 month after I bought the battery died, luckily the dealership went ahead and gave me a new one at no cost. I just brought it in 2 months ago for standard service and the dealer said the battery is weak/low. Everything else checked out fine and they said sometimes in the FL heat they just go dead quickly (which shouldn't happen). I suckered in and ended up buying their battery which is guaranteed for life so if/when it happens again I won't be out a dime.

yeah, they do the job, but I've had my Optima and it hasn't failed me at all on long drains and whatnot when I listen to radio, or when I forget to turn off the lights or something.
I've changed batteries twice on the 06 and once on the 07.
I see a pattern here. These batteries should not be draining this soon.
On the other hand, the battery is running/maintaining a lot of systems.
