Default Any issue with 17X8 +42 offset wheels on AWD?

Need your input. I have a set of wheels that I want to set up for winter. They are 17X8 with +42 offset. Not too sure if this will affect my ride in functionality or appearance at all. The tires I am planning to use is the same as stock 225/50/R17. I have read elsewhere that using a different offset can wear down my bearings, any truth to this? These wheels clear my 07 AWD front calipers. Appreciate your input.

Thanks Alan. I was worried about the 3mm difference in offset compared to stock. The tire 225/50/R17 is stock size for 17X7.5, so they're OK for 17X8?

225mm converts to 8.8". So you'll be fine on a 8" wheel
