Default Stock Tire Replacement!

GS 430...Summer in Colorado, winter in So Cal. I generally stay until November in Colorado so I want an all season but there's too many options with mixed reviews online, of course...

Here's what I'm looking at:
  • Kumho Ecsta 4X KU22
  • Falken Azenis PT-722
  • Continental ExtremeContact DWS
  • Nitto NT 555 Extreme Performance

Any experience or suggestions? I know the DWS have the best warranty but I've heard bad reviews on performance on dry roads.

Thanks guys!

Ps. Hopefully one day I'll pull the trigger on some rims!

continental extreme contact DWS is rated the best according to the tirerack.. didn't have those long enough (on my es300) to give you any feedback, but my bro is running michelin ps a/s plus, and he's very happy w/ them so far. another option to consider if the price is not an issue..

I have Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS on my 430 and they are quiet and grip well. I'm not sure about those Falkens but the FK452's are LOUD!!!!!

I have Michelin PS A/S plus and very happy with its handling, but I find them a little noisy on highway.

Pilot super sports. I've driven on them a week; they ride well. Top rated on Tirerack site.

Hey guys thanks for all the input...I actually have some great test results. I paid the little extra at first and went with the Pilots, had them installed last Wednesday. All I can say is one trip up to the mountains here in Colorado and they had to go! Very noisy on the highway, handling was decent on the curves but they felt extremely mushy and loose taking corners even <30 mph.

On Friday I took the Pilots back and went with the DWS, took the same trip last night and what a difference! Almost no highway noise and cornering felt amazing. Very tight in the corner and they stuck to the pavement like glue. What an amazing difference.

I know some of you guys swear by the Pilots and I'm sorry but the DWS out performed them exponentially. I'm extremely happy with them and like Lexus I will add them to my brand loyal list for life. Now I just have to pull the trigger on some new rims.

Hope this helps others looking to replace their stock tires.

Thanks again guys for all the input...like always CL is the top notch place to get great advise for Lexus drivers!
