Ok... some people claimed too loud, others liked it... I LOVE IT!!!
It's relatively quiet... no real noticeable droning.... unless you are one to ride around with the radio off and don't talk... you can barely hear it then, and then it depends on which gear and rpm... and still compared to other exhausts/cars I've heard... one of the quietest I've heard.
The car seems to be a tad bit more responsive and the tone is killer!
Being I had to replace the damn transmission on the car, I figured I had to buy something that would make me like this car again, and that did the trick!
100% satisfied!
Intake coming soon! ( as soon as i can determine which one i want and where to get it from - any suggestions )
from what i have read ( from very limited posts about the matter ).... it doesn't appear the typhoon will work with 06 GS300's due to the difference in MAF.
Does anyone know this to fact/fiction?
Is there any other options out there? I bought a Fujita from someone on here, and it immediately brought the Check Engine light out... 2 bouts with it, and took it back off and threw it away....
I love the way mine sounds as well, the fitment was just poor and we had to modify the hanger brackets. how many miles where on your car before the trans needed to be replaced?
my car had about 160k on it.... at first it was intermittent,... the shift solenoids sticking shut for gears 5 and 6 from time to time,... then it became more prevalent and consistent, plus gear 4 started tripping... basically not shifting into those said gears,... so only feasible way to repair was to replace the whole transmission,.... found the only low mileage one on the net in NY - 8k miles on it, and had a better price than all of those with 80k - 90k miles,...
As for the fitment of my exhaust, the guy who put my exhaust on has been doing them for 15+ years, so he managed to get it on and aligned rather quickly... he did utilize some O.G. tricks to accomplish this... so I'd imagine there is some truth to what you say.
