Default Navi/ac control problem

Can anyone help please!!! I have a 2006 GS 430. Navigation screen and A.C. controls are off and will not work. The stereo turns on and you can hear it, but im not able to control it through the screen. My A.C. buttons wont work either and in this heat its driving me nuts. The nearest Lexus dealer is 200 miles away . I have checked all the fuses in all 5 fuses boxes for good measure. Two in the engine compartment, two in the kick panels and one in the trunk. I have also removed the nav and checked all the plugs behind it in case of a short. So far, nothing..........HELP!!!

Unless you have a really good electronic technician, you are gonna have to replace the CIC

Does 2006 have the voice-control option? If yes, have you tried that?

IMHO, you're nav unit took a crap on you, or the computer that controls it. Best suggestion find out what it is exactly and try to get it off a junk yard or ebay.

This may not help, but just a suggestion.. We had the same issue on a 2007 GS350.. as far as what we did was.. Deactivated the Park assist manually, than using the lanuch tool. it was activated, deactivated and than activated.. Thus the radio/navi unit started working again..

hopefully this helps.

OK, I found a place that repairs these units. Its a common problem. The website is www.hitechserv.com its far cheaper to have it repaired than replaced by Lexus.
